Graduates, and Caregivers,

This letter is to inform all our graduates as well as parents and caregivers about the details regarding our grad which is happening on June 26th, 2025. All will take place at the EA Rawlinson Centre. Cap and Gown is from 1:00-3:00 and the Grand March is 6:00-8:00. Please read through for more details on each portion.

IMPORTANT TIMES for JUNE 26

12:00- Grads must be at the Rawlinson Centre

5:30- Grads and Escorts must be at the Rawlinson Centre

Cap and Gown

PACI grad involves two separate parts: the Cap and Gown Ceremony and the Grand March. The Cap and Gown Ceremony is the formal portion of Grad.

Cap and Gown:

The Cap and Gown is made up of the following pieces:

  • Grand Entrance
  • Speeches and send offs
  • Diplomas
  • Grade 12 Awards
  • Hat toss

Grads must be at the Rawlinson at 12:00 on June 26th. Upon arriving at the Rawlinson, grads will: receive their caps and gowns.

Depending on the weather, Grads will want to wear something comfortable under their gowns; this would be either a dress or pants and button-down shirt, possibly a tie. Wearing a full suit under the grad gown could be quite warm. No white socks please.

Following the Cap and Gown, grads are free to go to spend time with family. We do need to mention that grads who may be “celebrating” before the Grand March may need to be excluded from the Grand March. We need to be mindful that this is a family event, and students who may be intoxicated can ruin the experience for the other grads and their families.

 Grand March

Grand March will begin promptly at 6:00- Grads and their chosen person should be at the EA Rawlinson Centre at 5:30. The Grand March is the portion where the Grads will walk across with stage with their chosen person or an “escort”. At PACI in years prior this has ranged from a son/daughter, parent, boyfriend/girlfriend, grandparent- whomever the grad chooses. This is when the grad will dress up for this occasion- they will not wear their Grad Gown. This could be anything that the grad deems appropriate- could be a grad dress, suit, tuxedo etc.

The Grand March is made up of the following pieces:

  • Grand March
  • Second Walkthrough
  • Grad Dance with Grad Escort
  • Grad Dance with Parent
  • Grad Dance with person of their choosing.

After the Grand March- students are free to go! The school is responsible for the planning of the Cap and Gown and the Grand March- any activities after or between these are up to the grads or parents to organize and choose to attend. Our hope is that the grads participate in any activities in a safe and inclusive manner.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact Dave Lokinger at PACI.

Yours in Graduation,
